Synopsis: The launch of Cambodia Digital Social Protection Platform version 2.0 (CSPP v2.0) marks an important step in the government’s journey to digitalise the social protection system in line with the Strategic Plan for Social Protection Digital Transformation 2024-2028.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) yesterday launched the Cambodia Digital Social Protection Platform version 2.0 (CSPP v2.0) to enhance service delivery, transparency and data integration across welfare schemes, aligning with the government’s push toward inclusive and digital governance.
The launch ceremony of the CSPP v2.0 was presided over by Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of MEF, and also Chairman of the National Social Protection Council (NSPC), attended by Stefan Messerer, German Ambassador to Cambodia, in Phnom Penh.
In his opening remarks, Pornmoniroth said that the launch of CSPP v2.0 marks an important step and a new milestone in the government’s journey to digitalise the social protection system in line with the Strategic Plan for Social Protection Digital Transformation 2024-2028.
He said that CSPP v2.0 will act as a crucial catalyst in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of implementing the National Social Protection Policy Framework 2024–2035, which was announced earlier this year.
“The upgraded platform aims to improve coordination, streamline benefit delivery, and ensure transparency across key social protection programs,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Pornmoniroth underscored that under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the government remains committed to improving citizens’ livelihoods, advancing human capital development, and reducing poverty as part of its core socio-economic priorities.
“The initiative is designed to promote well-being, reduce poverty and inequality and strengthen social stability and solidarity – key pillars to achieving the long-term vision of transforming Cambodia into a high-income nation by 2050,” he said.
