Phnom Penh, January 20, 2026 — Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation Hem Vanndy today delivered a talk on Cambodia’s National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) at the Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM), highlighting its importance for regulatory coherence, legal certainty, and economic competitiveness.
The talk brought together around 170 participants, including members of the Council of Jurists and representatives from the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSSOC).
Minister Vanndy outlined the core pillars of NQI—standardization, metrology, accreditation, and testing and certification, underscoring its role in supporting effective lawmaking and enforcement, protecting consumers, facilitating trade, and strengthening Cambodia’s integration into regional and global markets to ensure a unified national system.
