Digital Transformation Center gets GIZ support

 

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication and the GIZ Cambodia entered into cooperation on technical assistance to the Digital Transformation Center Cambodia which will contribute to the development of human resources and various digital technologies.

The Technical Cooperation Project agreement was signed by Khov Makara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication, and Chairman of Board of Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, yesterday.

The project was supported by GIZ Cambodia for 1.4 million euros for two years, and there are plans to raise funds from other sources to contribute to the implementation of various projects.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Makara said the centre will contribute to the development of human resources and digital technologies.

GIZ will provide human resources to assist and support technology and set up a communication network to support the digital revolution between Cambodian and German experts, he said.

“The activities implemented in the centre will contribute to the implementation of the Pentagon strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in the seventh mandate,” Makara said.

GIZ Supported the Royal Government of Cambodia and the people in various fields, including the digitalization sector, to connect to other sectors, Gunter Riethmacher, country director of GIZ Cambodia said.
